About The Hotel

Located at the top of a hill in the middle of the valley, very close to the Andes Mountain Range, Vik Chile boasts 360º panoramic views of the vineyards, the striking VIK Winery and our natural surroundings.

The 22 rooms at this 13,000-acre winery are each completely unique: in the Chile suite, sisal covers the walls and the doors are carved from cork; in the Norge suite (in honor of Alex Vik’s Scandinavian heritage), contemporary works by Norway’s best-known artists hang alongside rare folk textiles. You can ride horses through the vineyards, or taste en primeur vintages in the oak-paneled library.

In 2022 Vik Winery joined “CERTIFIED SUSTAINABLE WINE OF CHILE”* (the National Sustainability Code Standard of the Chilean Wine Industry) in an effort to solidify its commitment to nature. The house wine has also received a vegan certificate Vegetarianos Hoy. as well as the V-Label license. The winery has an organic garden that occupies over two hectares of fertile soil. It produces approximately 250 varieties of fruit, vegetables, edible flowers and herbs, as well as blue eggs from Coyonka chickens, which are raised by the Mapuche people. The hotel uses an innovative approach, offering guests a menu based on the yield from the garden. Vik also promotes products made by local suppliers.

Environmental Conservation

Throughout the property the hotel has implemented low voltage lighting and is using 100% renewable electricity. impressive reflecting pool that naturally cools the barrel room and the winery’s roof ia allowing the humidity to regulate the temperature helping to achieve an optimal energy consumption by allowing natural light to enter without the use of energy. Plastic has been eliminated from the property and the hotel is working with the suppliers to reduce excess packaging. The hotel is using eco-certified cleaning products and has banned single-use products.

Social Responsibility

The hotel is one of the sponsors of the San Vicente de Tagua Tagua Football Academy. This athletic training project was developed to offer children exposure to the sport after two years of quarantine and pandemic, using football as an educational opportunity. The workshop is meant to provide a fun environment for learning and developing values such as friendship, respect, unity, solidarity, perseverance, discipline, self-confidence and teamwork, creating good habits and fostering a sense of belonging.
