Sustainable Initiatives

Organic farm

Organic garden supplies with fresh vegetables all year round. Some of the seasonal vegetables you eat at the restaurant are freshly picked from the organic garden. The resort will regularly organize ‘Happy Farm’ activities to take children with family to understand the planting and growth process of local vegetables. By purifying and bottling their own drinking water, the resort not only eliminates plastic bottles but also lowers carbon footprint by reducing required transportation to the hotel.

Chengdu Caring House Animal Shelter and Panda Ark

Dujiangyan Panda Ark, also known as the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda, is responsible for all the wild giant panda rescue work in China. The new base is an ideal place for conservation education. Panda Rescue, an interactive learning facility along with a strong team of professional educators share their vast knowledge about the pandas. The resort has a have long-term cooperation with the center, and guests can sign up for panda volunteer activities. Chengdu Caring House Animal Shelter was established in 1996 by Madam Chen Yunlian. Madam Chen devoted everything to save more stray animals and the center currently takes care of more than 5,000 stray animals. Hotel's hosts regularly participate in volunteer activities and donate supplies to the center to contribute to the rescue of the many stray dogs and cats.
