Environmental Responsibility

At Six Senses Crans-Montana, the group is raising the sustainability bar from the design approach to architecture, engineering, responsible construction, and guest experiences. The building operates at 30 percent reduced energy versus the standard ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers) baseline. Waste heat is collected from cooling systems, pools, and kitchens, and then filtered and re-directed back through the system, significantly reducing energy requirements. All guest rooms and suites feature smart automation systems, including VOC (volatile organic compounds) air circulation, which maintains ultra-high efficiency and an exceptional level of air quality set at MERV-13 class: the gold standard for luxury hotels. Both indoor and outdoor pools with mountain views use UV filters to reduce chemical treatment requirements by up to 50 percent. 100 percent of heating and cooling requirements are provided by a carbon-neutral, sustainably sourced, and chemical-free wood pellet system, keeping the hotel and pools at an optimal temperature whether it's -10 or +25 outside.
