Energy efficient light bulbs and sensor activation are in place wherever practical to do so. Thermostatic settings are used in all residences when guests or owners are away for prolonged periods of time. Recycling points are located close to all entrances to the residences and waste reduction is actively encouraged with all guests and owners.The resort works with local service providers who have the same ethical standards as the property has - to source products and services which have no adverse environmental or social impact. At Six Senses, this means going beyond banning single-use plastic and unnecessary waste by implementing a policy to become Zero Waste and Plastic Free, uncovering solutions that have not yet been created and promoting a de-plasticized lifestyle by providing more sustainable alternatives. Joining the Global Tourism Plastics Initiative is another step in this direction to address the root causes of plastic pollution. It enables businesses and governments to take concerted action and lead by example.
