Río Celeste Hideaway is a small resort-style and ecologically-conscious hotel that provides a truly unique experience.The hotel is located on the slopes of the Tenorio Volcano, surrounded by an isolated tropical forest, one of the most fascinating energetic spots in the country. Río Celeste River and El Tapir Preserve trails cover about 1.5 miles and offer access to the river and wildlife allowing you to explore the natural attractions in hotel's 80-acre property. Sunbathe and immerse yourself in the light blue waters of the river within the hotel’s property.

Casitas are designed for maximum comfort and style while maintaining close contact with the natural environment. With the guest experience in mind, the hotel has created a unique concept of casitas separated from each other by lush tropical landscaping. Each spacious accommodation offers independent settings with a private patio and outdoor shower, making guests feel at home while in touch with the beautiful environment. Rest on plush, pillow-top beds or relax outdoors surrounded by the sounds and sights of nature.

Environmental Responsibility

Besides having an approximately 12 hectares of primary and secondary forest on hotel's our grounds, each year Rio Celeste Hideaway hotel is planting native trees through the ACCT (Association Community Carbon Trees for the Reduction of Carbon Dioxide) program, mitigating their carbon footprint. The resort reduces, reuses and recycles solid waste, implementing composting programmes, and purchasing products that are durable, repairable and recyclable. They work with local communities as part of social involvement programme, offering opportunities for local artisans and performers within the hotel. The hotel features an exceptional organic garden - vegetables, fruits, and herbs are planted in 100% organic soil in the property´s garden. The hotel is plastic-free.
