Mont Rochelle is a stunning 26-bedroom hotel and vineyard spread over 39 hectares in Franschhoek, a town in the Western Cape Province of South Africa famously known as the French Corner. Escape to this picturesque corner at the foot of the Klein Dassenberg Mountain Range for relaxation and a superb culinary experience accompanied by some outstanding wines.

Month Rochelle's luxurious rooms and suites offer a relaxing retreat in the heart of the wine country. Some feature stunning views of the vineyard, a private terrace or a plunge pool. Located a short walk from the main hotel, the Manor House is Mont Rochelle's private four bedroom villa with two swimming pools and a cosy bunkroom. It is available for exclusive use and group bookings all year-round and can accommodate up to 8 adults and 6 children.

Community Empowerment

Mont Rochelle is a proud members of Pack for a Purpose, an initiative that allows travellers to make a lasting impact in the community at your travel destination. If you save just a few kilos of space in your suitcase and bring supplies for area schools or medical clinics in need, you'll make a priceless impact in the lives of our local children and families. Mont Rochelle is currently supporting FRANCO with the aim of improving collaboration between social programmes and organisations within the Franschhoek Valley. The projects that FRANCO have funded include, ex-offender community reintegration, soup kitchens, life skills training in schools, music outreach, school holiday programmes and early childhood development centres. FRANCO are also involved with various sports programmes as well as support groups for the elderly and people with disabilities.

Environmental Responsibility

Virgin Limited Edition is proud to have taken steps at all properties to reduce any negative environmental impact, and Mont Rochelle is no exception. Mont Rochelle operates a plastic straw free existence at all properties and opts for paper or bamboo straws instead. The introduction of water filter machines and reusable bottles has meant that the use of single use plastic bottles have been reduced by 100% at all properties.
