About The Hotel

Mandarin Oriental Doha is an intimate and stylish urban retreat located in the centre of Msheireb Downtown Doha, the new lifestyle and cultural heart of the city. The hotel blends chic and contemporary design with touches of Qatari heritage, bringing new levels of luxury to Qatar. Designed by the world-renowned David Collins Studio, the hotel's rooms, suites and serviced apartments blend an elegant, contemporary design with subtle elements of traditional Qatari design.

Two rooftop pools offer spectacular views with private cabanas and sun loungers to enjoy the abundant sunshine. The pools are temperature controlled to enjoy in the warm summer days of Doha and all year-around.

The Spa's signature 'Singing Sand Dunes' treatment takes its name and inspiration from the Qatari desert's crescent-shaped dunes. Its magical vibrating sound, performed utilizing the gold quartz sand treatment table attunes the body's rhythm to a tranquil state by promoting regeneration and improving circulation.

Sustainable Initiatives

Environmental Protection

In recognition of its all-rounded sustainability excellence, Mandarin Oriental Doha has been awarded two prominent sustainability certifications – the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold Certification and Green Key Certification. Mandarin Oriental Doha makes the most out of its geographic position, which offers it great access to solar energy. A total of 29 solar thermal panels fulfils up to 80% of the hot water needs of guestrooms. In addition, the hotel has 49 solar PV panels which produce around 16,560 kWh of electricity each year. Mandarin Oriental currently utilises a dedicated online sustainability data management system to streamline data collection and monitor progress in real-time. In 2019, the hotels reported a significant reduction of approximately one fifth of environmental footprint intensities when compared to baseline years. Over the years, consistent efforts have been made to switch to LED lighting. Currently, 68% of lighting needs are fulfilled by LED lighting. Most of hotels are fully dependent on municipal water supplies, and rely partially on other sources of water including surface water, groundwater and desalinated water.
