La Posta Vecchia
A blend of new and old, the hotel boasts an exclusive 18th century décor
About The Hotel
Once a carriage house for mail stages traveling up the coast north of Rome, it was bought and restored by the American industrialist J. Paul Getty. Located in the coastal town of Ladispoli, just 40-minutes away from Rome, packed with antiquities and artworks as well as all the modern conveniences. A blend of new and old, the hotel boasts an exclusive 18th century décor. Rooms and suites are furnished with 17th-century antiques and look out over the Mediterranean Sea or the estate’s parks completed with well-preserved ruins that date back to the Roman Empire period.
La Posta Vecchia is a doorway to the historic and cultural evolution of Lazio. As home to an extraordinary collection of art and antiquities La Posta Vecchia has the knowledge to select most insightful tours of the region, revealing the world famous Etruscan tombs of Cerveteri, to the works of Caravaggio in Rome.
Explore the countryside on an epicurean tour of vineyards and producers, ride horseback over the Lazio hills and enjoy the many pleasures of our Tyrrhenian playground from sailboats to golf swings.
