About The Hotel

Hidden away in the northern reaches of the Maldives, JOALI is situated on Muravandhoo Island in the Raa Atoll, one of the largest and deepest in the world. “Atoll” comes from atholhu – a Dhivehi term used by early geographers to describe the region’s distinctive ring-shaped coral reefs, embedded in tranquil lagoons. Spread all across the verdant island, resort's 73 spacious accommodations redefine sustainable glamour. This experiential destination has been created in collaboration with world-renowned artists and local artisans. Revival of Maldivian craftsmanship supports the local community. Stunning ocean views offer a backdrop of turquoise and azure, with a private infinity pool for sun-splashed swims and midnight dips.

With six restaurants and an interactive kitchen and dining room, the island’s culinary options have been thoughtfully curated, offering a wide selection of flavours to suit every palate.

At JOALI Spa by ESPA is set amid breath-taking gardens and seaside vistas with the eight treatment rooms reflecting a luxurious design concept. Based on the principles of holistic wellness, each therapy begins with a refreshing coconut water infusion and culminates with a unique culinary delight to complement and enhance your JOALI experience.

Sustainable Initiatives

Environmental Protection and Conservation

JOALI'a recycling initiatives are designed around responsible consumption. Along with operating their own glass water bottling plant, the resort uses bio-waste to make natural fertilisers. The JOALI Reef Restoration Programme uses a two-step gardening concept focused on planting corals that show resilience to heat, and ensuring healthy genetic diversity. Sustainability is a top priority for resort's ingredients sourcing team. Guests will be able to discover ethical luxuries such as fair-trade teas, single-origin coffee beans, and hand-caught lobster.
