About The Hotel

Immersed in nature and breathtaking wildlife InterContinental Khao Yai Resort is just moments from the UNESCO World Heritage. Designed by award-winning architect and interior designer Bill Bensley, it draws inspiration from the area's history and role as a rail gateway to northeast Thailand during King Rama V's era. The hotel is featuring upcycled train carriages converted into luxury suites.

A two-and-a-half-hour drive north-east from Bangkok, InterContinental Khao Yai Resort sits in a prime location near Khao Yai National Park. The area is perfect for elephant-spotting in the jungle, as well as playing golf on several world-class courses.

Each of our guestrooms contains luxury fittings and furnishing, European Byredo amenities, individual climate control, plus oversized towels, robes and slippers.

Environmental and Social Responsibility

The resort focuses on experiential dining and offers a selection of unique, authentic culinary experiences, including Somying Kitchen, a farm-to-table concept. The culinary team works closely with farms in the region to source seasonal ingredients and minimise food waste. The resort's spa offers signature experiences from Siam Botanicals; the well-established, Thailand-based company produces 100 per cent natural, organic skincare products in small batches. Hotel's 100-acre site is home to 50,000 trees and seven lakes. The resort offers a series of curated adventures across Khao Yai’s famed mountains and landscapes, including Welcome to Khao Yai, which incorporates visits to Baan Sa Nam Sai, one of the oldest communities in the area, and Khao Yai Life & Legends, which offers visitors a chance to experience the locals’ enduring traditional way of life. Guests can also visit the Tha Maprang community, including sampling seasonal fruits at a local farm, learning about legends at the community temple, and learning to make fragrant kaffir lime incense. The resort uses locally sourced materials and upcycled train carriages in the resort design, in line with Bensley's pledge to create sustainable hotel design solutions and Intercontinental Hotel Group’s commitment to reduce plastic waste by removing bathroom miniatures. Wooden keycards and biodegradable eco-friendly cleaning products will be used across the resort.
