About The Hotel

Architect Bill Bensley designed the indoor and outdoor spaces of the property, creating a signature fusion of vernacular architecture, bold high-contrast décor and whimsical, storied touches. Throughout the property you will find a wealth of French and Vietnamese inspired furniture, ornately crafted fixtures and original artwork to surprise and delight.

InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort was also the first to introduce Michelin-starred dining to Vietnam with Chef Pierre Gagnaire in La Maison 1888. Exceptional dining and recreation facilities make this property a destination unto itself, whether for day trips, meetings, or visits by families and groups of friends. A range of world-class destinations are nearby, such as Danang’s famed 94 km. white sand coastline, and UNESCO heritage sites like Hue and My Son.

Sustainable Initiatives

Wildlife conservation

Intercontinental Danang Sun is located within the Son Tra Mountain Nature Reserve, which is home to a number of critically endangered species – most notably the red-shanked douc langur. As such, conservation is a deep part of the resort’s DNA. The resort is one of the few on the planet to have a full-time staff zoologist, Anthony Barker. He oversees all sustainability initiatives, including eliminating pollutants, protecting wildlife from poaching, enacting responsible pest and invasive species management, and conserving key endangered species. Additionally, Mr. Barker offers complimentary workshops to educate our guests on the ecosystem surrounding them and the importance of environmental sustainability and wildlife conservation.

Environmental Responsibility

This beach resort is a leader in Green Engage, an IHG company-wide effort to monitor and reduce environmental impact. Through it, the property tracks its ecological footprint through metrics such as water and energy consumption and waste production, in order to understand and reduce the causes of the impact. To date, the hotel has taken over 50 actions to improve its ecological sustainability based on this data. Intercontinental group works continuously to uphold this commitment, introducing new, higher targets and refining its efforts to further reduce hotel's impact year-on-year. Alongside resort's commitment to becoming plastic-free, Intercontinental Danang Sun also conducts regular beach sweeps and jungle clean-ups setting an example of best practices for other properties.
