About The Hotel

Hôtel Plaza Athénée stands proudly on the city’s famous avenue of couture, surrounded by some of the world’s most luxurious fashion brands. For decades, this area has inspired artists and given designers an elegant showcase for their exceptional craftsmanship. On hotel's doorstep you’ll find all the big-name boutiques including Dior, Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Prada.

Back in 1946, Christian Dior opened his first boutique on avenue Montaigne, inspired by the idea of attracting hotel's elegant guests. In homage to his love of the hotel, his collections included creations called Plaza and Athénée. Continuing this long relationship, hotel's Dior Spa is decorated with fashion sketches by Christian Dior and photos of his fashion shoots at the hotel.

Hôtel Plaza Athénée is home to five restaurants and bars. They provide a variety of atmospheres to suit all moods – but make it rather difficult to leave. Prepare to embark on an immersive journey back to the ancient heart of French gastronomy, in hotel's Michelin-starred restaurant led by visionary chef Jean Imbert.

Sustainable Initiatives

Environmental and Social Responsibility

Hôtel Plaza Athénée helps preserve clean air and water by implementing sustainable and environmental policies and standards for housekeeping. Over the next ten years carbon emissions will be reduced by 10% by implementing new LED bulbs throughout the hotel (cutting electricity by 5%), recycling bio-waste to generate green electricity, donating used products to charity, switching electronics to standby, as well as using a new management system for air-conditioning and heating. All used items will go towards supporting children’s charities. Uniforms are sent to La Cravate Solidaire, used soaps to Mobil’Douche, electronic devices to Hotel school G.Tirel and used glasses to Lunettes sans Frontières. As a company Dorchester Collection provides a regular financial contribution and promotes the actions of charitiies dedicated to supporting the lives of vulnerable children, including A Chacun son Everest, Croq’ l’Espoir, Les Pièces Jaunes, Téléthon, Restos du Cœur and Enfant Bleu.
