About The Hotel

Located on the shores of Lake Maggiore, Hotel Eden Roc sits in the heart of Italian-speaking Switzerland. Ascona has long been a refuge for artists, writers and cosmopolitans looking to escape the everyday humdrum and find inspiration in nature. The Hotel Eden Roc offers the perfect setting from which to explore the traditions, cultures and landscapes that are this magical place.

Located in the grounds of the hotel, Casa Epper is the former home and atelier of Swiss impressionist Ignaz Epper. Thanks to a careful restoration project, today Casa Epper has become a meeting place for artists and art-lovers and the garden here offers a special space in which to relax and reset and enjoy a moment of calm.

La Casetta restaurant is a former boathouse and sits in the heart of the hotel and is steeped in history. Alongside its culinary treasures La Casetta boasts an exciting story and captivating connection to the peace talks that took place here at the end of the Second World War.

The Eden Roc beach offers the perfect setting to enjoy a wide variety of watersports. From sailing courses with the Laser Bug sailing dinghies to wakeboarding, banana boat rides and stand-up paddle boarding, you can take advantage of the perfect location for water sport activities for the whole family.

Environmental Protection

The Eden Roc Hotel has been awarded by the Green Globe Sustainable Certification and became 100% climate neutral. The award reflects the resort unwavering commitment to sustainability, by making positive changes to reduce the environmental footprint and improve social impact. A glass water-bottling system is in place to remove the requirement for disposable plastic water bottles, allowing the Resort to refrain from using any plastic bottles. To keep your stay climate neutral, the hotel contributes to carefully selected carbon offset programmes, including rewilding alpine wetlands and supporting the Virunga mountain gorilla project in Rwanda.
