Sustainable Initiatives

Environmental Protection

Four Seasons is committed to eliminating single-use plastics in the guest experience. All hotels around the world are taking steps to eliminate single-use plastics, including removing plastic water bottles and implementing large-format bathroom amenities. The Four Seasons offers vegan and vegetarian menu as well as responsibly sourced seafood. Aside from codfish, all seafood, including yellowfin tuna, wahoo, grouper, snapper, jobfish, mahi mahi, calamari and octopus, are sourced through local fishermen. Fruits such as mango, papaya, coconut and starfruit, are picked from trees on the Resort's premises when available seasonally, while others are sourced locally. Local biodiversity support program is in place through marine education and conservation partner WiseOceans, including guest engagement in the Petite Anse Reef Restoration Project to protect and nurture 10,000 square metres (100,000 square feet) of limestone reef in the Resort's horseshoe bay through coral reef frame installations. Employees engage in periodic beach and public area cleanups in collaboration with Red Cross, Sustainability for Seychelles and other projects with Anse Royale Primary School.
