Four Seasons is committed to eliminating single-use plastics in the guest experience. All hotels around the world are taking steps to eliminate single-use plastics, including removing plastic water bottles and implementing large-format bathroom amenities. The Four Seasons offers vegan and vegetarian menu as well as responsibly sourced seafood. The hotel chain has set a food waste reduction and recycling program in place. Among many initiatives, the hotel partecipates in Energy Curtailment Program in partnership with Con-Edison that allows them to reduce usage to alleviate the strain on the city’s electric grid during peak usage and it is also transitioning to LED lighting in all common and back-of-house spaces. These new practices will reduce utility cost and carbon footprint significantly.
