Sustainable Initiatives

Social Responsibility

Cervo has partnered with myClimate. Among other features offered by my Climate, hotel's guests can book a CO2 compensated stay. Each contribution will be doubled by CERVO. The hotel works closely with MitMänsch Oberwallis, a foundation that provides a wide range of regional services for people with disabilities. Filtered and carbonated water is offred to all guests while 10% of the earnings is donated to WIR. The foundation advocates access to clean and affordable drinking water and sanitation worldwide.

Environmental Protection

99% of CERVO’s energy requirements are covered by geothermal energy and an integrated heat recovery system. For the remaining 1% natural gas is used and in the next few years the switch to biogas is planned - and it will be expanded even further. The long-term goal is to achieve a 100% CO2 neutral energy production for heating and hot water. All waste heat is already being reused in hotel operations. By merging the hotel’s sewerage system, the hotel is able to achieve an efficient waste water heat recovery.
