About The Hotel

Immersed in the green of southern Tuscany's Maremma hills, Castello di Vicarello is a former castle transformed into a luxurious Mediterranean retreat. Surrounded by 40 hectares of organic vineyards, olive groves, and farmland - this unique estate captures the essence of contemporary luxury – an experience offering total seclusion, award-winning accommodation and exceptional cuisine.

All nine suites feature original stone and brick walls, a tasteful mélange of antique and modern furniture, and an oriental touch stemming from the Baccheschi Berti family’s years spent in Indonesia.

The estate cultivates over 50 varieties of vegetables and 30 aromatic herbs in its vegetable garden, set within Castello's olive grove.

Environmental Responsibility

All fruit and vegetables used in the kitchen are grown organically in the hotel gardens. Vicarello produces its own award-winning wine and olive oil, and a large amount of meat is hunted on the hotel’s grounds.
