About The Hotel

At the heart of our Sentosa Island escape are two restored Tanah Merah colonial bungalows dating back to the 1880s, from which the hotel extends into gardens and grounds framed by the sea. Inspired by Tanah Merah’s Malay translation red earth, architects Foster + Partners designed this resort in Singapore to sit in harmony with the traditional architecture and the beautiful surrounding environment.

Set in 30 acres of luscious landscaped grounds, each elegantly designed Room, Suite, Villa and Manor combines bespoke contemporary comforts with natural materials and touches of Asian tradition. Capella Culturists are also available to arrange experiences within Capella. Resort activities such as cooking masterclasses and cocktail making can be organised upon request.

From traditional dishes to unexpected delights, dining with Capella Singapore on Sentosa Island is a delicious journey through flavour. Inspired by the historic spice routes of Southern and Western China, Cassia offers a contemporary twist on authentic Cantonese cuisine, while Bob’s Bar is where guests retreat to watch the sunset with a carefully-curated cocktail. Capella's latest restaurant concept, Fiamma, features authentic Italian family cuisine by chef Mauro Colagreco.

Sustainable Initiatives

Environmentally Responsible

Patina Hotels & Resorts’ interpretation of Perpetuality is rooted in Capella's belief in effecting and empowering lasting change. Capella group protective nature means to preserve Mother Earth every step of the way, from designing the properties in accordance with LEED standards to participating in local projects that enhance the landscape. As water is the source of all life, it is essential that every hotel conserves, purifys and honours its precious presence. Capella hotels have joined Parley for the Oceans’ global clean-up network to end marine plastic pollution and bring disruptive creativity to environmental awareness. Marine life is protected as they gather plastics before it reaches the oceans, rivers and landfills to transform into eco-innovative products.

Community Minded

Capella Hotels and Resorts seeks to illuminate the lives of youth in the local community and beyond. It is their belief that all children deserve proper education to build a sustainable future for themselves and those of generations to come. Under Capella Youth initiatives, they offer guidance and support to help youth harness their full potential – whether it’s through hospitality mentorship for the underprivileged or teaching English to locals in Bali. To amplify their outreach efforts, the group has partnered with SolarBuddy – a non-governmental organisation dedicated to alleviating energy poverty amongst youth through the gift of clean, reliable light. Youth in the community will benefit from a productive study environment after dusk, determining their own future and those of generations to come.
