Environmental Protection

At Mandarin Oriental hotels in Geneva, electric vehicle charging stations have been installed for guests. The hotel also offers guests complimentary public transportation and complimentary electric bikes to explore the city in order to reduce their carbon footprint. In 2019, the hotels reported a significant reduction of approximately one fifth of environmental footprint intensities when compared to baseline years. Over the years, consistent efforts have been made to switch to LED lighting. Currently, 68% of lighting needs are fulfilled by LED lighting. Most of hotels are fully dependent on municipal water supplies, and rely partially on other sources of water including surface water, groundwater and desalinated water.
