Sustainable Initiatives

Environmental Protection

A low-impact island resort that harnesses local materials, Amanwana's green credentials are in keeping with its wild, pristine setting. Guests can contribute to its Moyo Conservation Fund which benefits nearby village communities and the environment.

Local Heritage and Culture

The resort’s own garden produces many of the vegetables, fruits and herbs used in the kitchen, whilst fresh seafood is delivered directly from the fisherman’s boats, with dishes featuring traditional Indonesian flavours and the best of island cooking.

Social Responsibility

All resorts promote gender equality, while respecting local culture, and diversity. Aman enforces a strict policy with their suppliers about child protection and offers a support to programs tackling issues for women, children, against poverty and hunger. All properties support local school programs, orphanages and offer a support for female led businesses to create economic independence. Employment priority is given to local farmers and vendors as a support of local agriculture in culinary art, purchase of local products; fair trade, cage-free and free-range products. Aman properties offer healthy, sustainable, organic, seasonal food for guests and staff as well as providing the healthcare of employees and local communities.
